You would be surprised how much of ad-tech is predicated on grey areas of information collection. The fonts you use, the cadence of your typing, eye movements, etc. are giving away your identity to advertisers long before your email. I think there is a better way than selling that bullshit..don’t let them in the system at all and charge the org directly to improve numbers they care about.
Imagine you were a renegade and wore bright pink Chubbies shorts (on the outside) to work every day. Then one day, you left a pair of those shorts in a gym bag. Would your coworkers know whose gym bag it was without your email address?
If I were 20, I’d study psychometrics, a field that I didn’t even know existed at the time. What if…most of the consumer internet we have today had been designed by teenage boys? There’s a lot of interpersonal growth that you have to acquire through your 20s from suffering. I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want to live in a world designed by Geoffrey from that game…
